Kamloops leads the way
Kamloops Councillor Arjun Singh reports on his blog that the Kamloops transit system will offer free transit to any resident showing their voting card on the next federal election day.It's a great idea, and I will be following up with our TransLink folks to see if our system offers (or can offer) the same thing for all federal, provincial and municipal election days.

Finally an idea I agree with on this blog!!! :-)
That's a wonderful idea. Perhaps similar initiatives in the Lower Mainland can be encouraged on big days.
The Sun Run, the fireworks shows, New Years eve come to mind as potential "free transit" days.
