Good South Fraser news

Two pieces of good news for south of the Fraser commuters...

The Langley Times reports that 11 intersections along Fraser Highway (from Surrey into Langley) will soon be synchronized, meaning less stop-and-wait for drivers.

And the Peace Arch News reports that Surrey will widen King George Highway at 152nd St. to four lanes. Surrey will also experiment with legal U-Turns (a common item in the United States) at this location.

About time they sinchronised the lights. Half the problems with the roads around here are all the ruddy lights! You'd think the least they could do is synchronise them, they've been doing it in Calgary where I came from since I was a young boy (seventies). They seem to think it is some kind of new fangled idea, Hah!

Did you know that Gateway is putting 5 lighted intersections on the SFPR at the North East segment - another half executed plan. Maybe they can think far enough in advance to synchronise that - but don't count on it.

Cheers,
Paul
